The choice

Travis Parker is a happy thirty-something man who lives as he likes. He spends his free time with friends, traveling and practice extreme sports, to feel the rush. He works as a  vet, he was doing it for him more pleasure than duty. His best friend is a dog. He have a  plans to have a family, but he do not want to change anything in your life. Gabby Holland is a doctor, which for her boyfriend, Kevin moves to a small town, so they can be closer together. Became independent, bought his own house, and she likes she's job. Although she is new in the area, but do not feel alone. Everything changes in the lives of both characters, when they to appreciate. The first meeting Travis and Gabby was not successful, but after clarifying certain ambiguities they both take more time to spend in his company. Travis finds a Gabby as interesting and intriguing woman. The characters spend together a lot of time - the more so that their homes are adjacent to each other. Things get complicated when the town goes back Kevin - boy of Gabby. Despite the deep affection, which the girl has for Travis, is not sure if it was him should spend the rest of  life.

End of the first part of the novel puts Gabby from having to choose between two men.

In the second part we know Travis reflections about the events that take place eleven years later. Only as far as learning the following topics individual elements of this extraordinary puzzle are beginning to fit together. Travis and Gabby are happily married. They have two lovely daughters. Everything is going as best until ... the choose. And here is the big surprise. Again, she need to choose ... This time Travis must face the difficult reality and the consequences of his decisions will have far-reaching consequences. His choice concerns matters most - living in constant anticipation or death ...

In fact, the second part of the book is its true value. Nicholas Sparks once again writes about real love, eternal, which will overcome everything and gives meaning to human life.
