The Vow

The Vow is a American romantic drama. This film was made in 2012. The main cast is Rachel McAdams as Paige and Channing Tatum as Leo.

The film was inspired by true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter from Farmington. He descibed the story of his marriage in the book „The Vow”. The film omitted a few plotlines of original story, for example religiousness of Kim and Krickitt. They believed that faith permitted them to fight for marriage.

Page and Leo was very good couple. One day they had  an accident. Leo had not any injuries but his wife had injuries of head and was in coma. After woke up she did not remember last five years of her life. She did not remember that she had a husband, she was sculptor and she broke contacts with family.

New Page is a different person. Leo is doing everything to win back his wife and he want to regain control of his life. The man wanted to make his wife fall in love with him again. He tells Page about their life and he shows photos from important moments of their life. In time he understood that his wife does not feels this same that before. He decided to get divorce and disappear from Page’s life.

For me, the most interesting is that this film was based in true story. In the end of film we have information that in spite of problems Kim and Krickitt got married again and have two sons, but for the accident Kim has not regained memory.

Unforgivable

I would like to tell about my favourite Mexican telenovela Unforgivable (Spanish: Lo Imperdonable). This telenovela was realised by Salvador Mejía Alejandre for Televisa in 2015.

The protagonists are Ana Brenda Contreras and Iván Sánchez and the antagonists are Grettell Valdéz, Juan Ángel Esparza and Guillermo García Cantú.

Martín lost his half-brother Demetrio bacause of depression. His depression was caused by an rich woman from family Prado Castelo. After the deth of Demetrio, Martín received his pendant with letter V, which belonged to Demetrio´s girlfriend. Martín suspected that responsible for deth of Demtrio was Verónica and he decided change her life to hell. Martín decided get married with Verónica and move to the town where his brother died. His wife, Verónica is in love with Martín and want to do everything to solve a enigma why Martín detest her.

Martín, in time uncovered that person responsible for the deth of Demetrio was Virginia, no Verónica and wanted repair all mistakes which committed. Martín revealed all truth to Verónica and they together wanted clear up the secret of death of Demetrio.

I recommend this telenovela, bacause is very good realised and the protagonists are very credibles.

Valiant Love

I would like to tell about an Mexican telenovela Valiant Love. Valiant Love (Spanish: Amor Bravío, Polish: Nieposkromiona miłość) was produced by Carlos Moreno Laguillo for Televisa in 2012.

The protagonists are Silvia Navarro and Cristián de la Fuente and the antagonists are Leticia Calderón, César Évora, Flavio Medina and Laura Carmine.

Camila is a veterinarian an lives with husband Alonso and all family in an ranch. Her husband is two-faced person, he want accumulate money from sale of ranch which the owner is Camila and he fakes a good person.

Daniel lives with wife in Chile. A conspiracy against Daniel cause that was arrested. His wife because of this conspiracy was in sleeping sickness and Daniel thought that she died. He wanted to prove innocence and to avenge on Camila because he thought that she is guilty of his problems. For that reason he changed name a Andrés and he took a job in Camila’s ranch.

During marriage Camila understood that Alonso is bad person and she wanted divorce. In time Camila fell in love with Andrés and they was planning future together,  but to be happy they had to overcome a lot of adversities.

For me, this Mexican telenovela has very interesting story and is very good produced. The action is very fast and this cause that telenovela has many complex  plots.

Grey’s Anatomy

In my life series are very important. My favourite series is Grey’s Anatomy. In Poland the name is Chirurdzy.  Grey’s Anatomy is an American medical drama television series. It is a story about five friends (Meredith, Cristina, Izzie, Alex and George) who are studying a medicine and start work in a private hospital in Seattle. The series has thirteen seasons.

The main plot has Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), who are a daughter of famous surgeon Ellis Grey and this is a problem for her. She has a lot of problems because of mother. Her childhood was very difficult and it was different from rest of children.

In the beginning of surgical interns Meredith met a surgeon Derek Shepherd and they fell in love. Later, came to light that Derek is married and his wife want to regain him. During all episodes Meredith and Derek many times were breaking and many times were backing together. Their plot is main subject of Grey’s Anatomy.

Watching films and series has a lot of advantages especially for a person who want to learn a foreign language and I recommend it to study because it is very interesting and nice. When I study English I prefer watching series, because the language is very simple and it is for me very important. I prefer watching series to films because I can watch a plots with main characters during few seasons.

The Time Traveler’s Wife

The Time Traveler’s Wife is a book written by Audrey Niffenegger. It is not typical love story.

When Clare was six she met a Henry, who was thirty six. When they get married she was twenty-three and he was thirty-one. During her childhood they were meeting in a glade near her’s  house. In the moment of they first meeting he knew that she is love of his life becouse he know her  as adult woman. From this moment they were inseparable. Henry is present in life of Clare when she was six but Clare in life of Henry when they met in library fourteen years later. A women all the time recorded a dates of their meetings. Henry is a first man in the world who has genetic defect and he is travelling in time. It is a reason why a difference between age is different during every meeting. His traveling in time is a problem in they every day life but they want  get married  and have a baby.

On the base of this book was made a film by the same name with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana.

In my opinion this booki is exelent. I do not like a lot of book with element of science fiction but this book I red by accident thanks to my friends.  In the book  present alternate with past and story is most interesting. Also, I saw a film which was realised very well and showed all  importans plots, which permitted understand the idea of the book.

Tattoos

Nowadays a tattoo is an decoration on the skin which is very popular. In my opinion this kind of body art is a problem in everyday life, for example in Poland have bad connotation and they are bad perceive for example with jail.

In Poland a lot of people have tattoos, especially young people. This question is problematic when somebody want to get a job. Majority of comapanies have a policy which ban tattoos and piercing. A managers frequently expressed negative views about the image projected by noticeably tattooed staff. An organisation that wishes to project a smart, professional image is entitled to ban or limit body modifications. According to employers, workers can choose whether they prefer having a tattoo or a job.

The other example is a school. Teacher should not have any tattoo in visible place, because they should be a good example for a young people. In my opinion it is bad way of teaching because children shold know that in the world live different people and they must respect everyone. If we do not teach a children a respect for everyone in the future they can be intolerant or racist. Another example are wardens. Every employee has ban on tattoos, to have respect for a kind of job. If someone has a tattoo, he or she must cover them.

A lot of people say that tattoos are like a stigma for other people. Tattoos are lifestyle choice and an expression of someone’s identity. A problem to get a job because of tattoo is a kind of discrimination. A lot of people have skills and don’t have a job because have tattoo in visible place.

To sum up, in my opinion people should be more tolerant towards tattooed people and this way of decoration on the skin shouldn’t be ban.

 

Before I Go to Sleep

I would like talk about the film ”Before I Go to Sleep”. This film is on the basis of the book in the same name, which was written by Steve Watson.

Christine every day wakes up and doesn’t remember who she is  does’t remember any detail from life. It is a consequence of an accident which she had years before. She is dependent on husband. In secret she is schhots a videoblog. One day Christine notice that information from videoblog differs from information of her husband. In this moment she decide to solve a secret of her past.

In secret Christine meets with Dr Nasch who want to helps her. Thanks to the doctor and methods which he apply the woman begin to remember a details from the past. In this way Christine remembered a friend, Claire, that she had a son and she had an affair. Her friends, Claire tells a Christine all about her life and her marriage. Claire presents a Ben, husband of Christine, like a loving and devoted husband. This meeting cause that Christine change a opinion about Ben and starts to trust him. Later, she reveals him all secrets, that she was meeting with Dr Nasch, met a Claire and didn’t trust him. And this was a mistake. Ben hit her and left home. Christine called to Claire and they relised that Ben isn’t her husband because he have other appearance and he didn’t have any scar on the face. It’s turn out that a man with whom Christine was living in one house was her lover and he was responsible for accident which Christine had and brought about her amnesia.

In the film, roles are played by Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. In my opinion this film is very good thanks to stars which cast in this film. This thriller is very true and keeps in suspence to the very end.

In conclusion I recommend this film to everyone who likes thrillers.
